Accessibility Statement

Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar is committed to making scottsjls.com accessible to as many guests as possible, including people who use assistive technologies. We want every guest to be able to learn about our menus, events, and location, and to reach us, regardless of how they browse the web.

Our standard

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines describe how to make web content more usable for people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

Current status

scottsjls.com is designed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Following an accessibility review of the site completed on September 6, 2026, we remediated the items it identified on the pages we control and re-tested the site on September 9, 2026. Some parts of the experience are provided by third parties we do not control (see “Third-party content and services” below). Accessibility is an ongoing effort: we continue to test the site and to review content our team adds over time, and we will update this statement as needed.

How we work on accessibility

• We design controls to be operable by keyboard and to show a visible focus indicator.
• We use semantic headings, page landmarks, and a “skip to main content” link.
• We provide text alternatives for meaningful images and labels for form fields, and we review content our team adds through our website tools for the same.
• We honor the browser's reduced-motion setting and provide pause controls for moving content such as slideshows.
• Pages are built to reflow to small screens and high zoom levels without horizontal scrolling.
• We choose text and background colors to meet AA contrast ratios and correct combinations that fall short when we find them.
• We check the site with automated tools and with manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and we fix issues as we find them.

Known limitations

We resolved the items identified in our September 6, 2026 review across the pages we control. Because accessibility depends on continued testing and on content that we and others add over time, a barrier can still surface. The main parts of the experience we do not control are provided by the third parties listed below. If you encounter a barrier anywhere on the site, please tell us using the contact details below and we will help.

Third-party content and services

Parts of the experience are provided by companies we do not control, and their accessibility is governed by those companies:

• Online reservations are handled by Yelp Reservations.
• Gift-card payments are processed by Stripe.
• Maps are provided by Google Maps.
• Our social media pages are hosted by Facebook and Instagram.

We choose vendors that publish their own accessibility information where we can, and we will help you complete any of these tasks another way if you have difficulty. Reservations and gift-card purchases can always be made by phone at (510) 444-3456.
