These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of scottsjls.com (the “Site”), operated by Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar (“Scott's Seafood,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site or purchasing a gift card, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation, attempt to access it in an unauthorized way, or submit false or abusive information through our forms.

Information accuracy

We work to keep menus, hours, pricing, event details, and other information current, but content on the Site may change without notice and may contain errors or omissions. Information on the Site is provided for general purposes and is not a binding offer. Please call us to confirm hours, availability, and pricing.

Reservations and inquiries

Submitting a contact or event inquiry form does not create a confirmed reservation or booking. Reservations and events are confirmed only when we respond and agree on the details directly with you.

Gift cards

Gift cards (gift certificates) purchased through the Site are processed securely by Stripe and are subject to these terms:

  • Redemption: Gift cards are redeemable toward food and beverage at Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar, Jack London Square, Oakland.
  • No expiration: In accordance with California law (Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1749.45–1749.6), gift cards sold to California consumers do not expire and are not subject to service, dormancy, or maintenance fees.
  • Cash back: As provided by California law, a gift card with a remaining balance of under $10 may be redeemed for cash.
  • Treat like cash: Gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen, except as required by law. Please keep yours in a safe place.
  • Non-transferable for resale: Gift cards may not be resold and have no value if obtained fraudulently.

Payment card information is handled directly by Stripe; we do not store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the rest of your purchase details.

Intellectual property

The Site and its content — including text, photography, logos, and design — are owned by or licensed to Scott's Seafood and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse Site content without our written permission.

Third-party services and links

The Site uses third-party services (such as Stripe and Google Maps) and may link to third-party websites, including our reservations partner, Yelp. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. Accessibility of those third-party services is described in our Accessibility Statement; if you have difficulty using any of them, we will help you complete the task another way.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scott's Seafood will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the updated version and revise the “Effective” date above.

    Monday through Thursday 11am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 11pm, Sunday Brunch 10am to 2:30pm, and Sunday Dinner 3pm to 9pm.

    Happy hour is paused during our anniversary promotion and returns October 1. When it returns, it runs Monday through Saturday from 3pm to 6pm in the Red Room Lounge, featuring $11 bites, $9 wines, and $7 draft beers.

  • Does Scott's Seafood have a Sunday brunch?

    Yes. The famous Sunday Jazz Brunch Buffet runs every Sunday from 10am to 2:30pm with live jazz, an omelette station, fresh seafood bar, and a carving station.

  • Can I host a private event at Scott's Seafood?

    Yes. Scott's offers four event spaces accommodating 10 to 400 guests: the Chandelier Pavilion, Harborview Rooms, Port of Oakland & Terrace, and off-site catering. Contact mariv@scottsjls.com to plan an event.
